Rolex Day-Date

Rolex Day-Date

£27,500.00

“The condition of this Day-Date is among the very best I’ve ever seen. A glittering, rare example of a cultural icon.” Nick Baranga, Founder

Rolex’s flagship watch, the Day-Date, is a true legend and instantly recognisable even to those who don’t know about watches. It has been worn by several U.S. presidents, Fidel Castro, Tony Soprano and even the Dalai Lama, and was the first watch to ever display the day in full. This particular watch stands out even further for its “String” dial, composed of a continuous circle of brilliant-cut diamonds, with baguette diamond hour markers set against a black enamel background, one of the rarest dials in existence. The condition of the watch is truly immaculate, with its sheen and sharpness intact, indicating little to no wear over its lifetime. Many would consider this iteration, the 18038, to be the perfect balance between vintage chic and modern capability, including significant upgrades from the original 1803, such as the "single quick" date set function that allows the watch to rapidly cycle through the date. A watch only produced in precious metals, this piece is 36mm, in 18k yellow gold with an English Day Wheel. It naturally comes on the famous presidential gold bracelet with concealed clasp, which reflects light stunningly from all angles. The quality, fit and finish of the watch is flawless.

Condition Report:

The watch’s condition is impeccable, truly remarkable for its age and incredibly rare. It appears new and has doubtless barely, if ever, been worn. It shows no bracelet stretch and the bezel is incredibly sharp. It comes with a 2023 Rolex service card, which states the dial code. The watch remains under Rolex’s international warranty until 2025.
