Patek Philippe Annual Calendar

Patek Philippe Annual Calendar

£36,000.00

“Discontinued, complicated dress Pateks are amongst my favourite watches. There is almost nothing at their level of sophistication that is anywhere near their price point.” Nick Baranga, Founder

The pinnacle of understated chic and sophistication, Patek Philippe’s ref.5146 is one of the best value complicated watches available today. The legendary brand launched the world’s first annual calendar in 1996, followed by this reference, with a larger 39mm case, in 2005. The immaculate, symmetrically triangulated annual calendar display tells the wearer the day, date and month at a glance, and on this upgraded model Patek added a moonphase display and a power reserve indicator. Produced in far smaller numbers than its gold counterparts, this watch’s case and deployant clasp were crafted from luxurious platinum, its hallmark being the diamond set in the case at the six o’clock position. The grey alligator leather strap exquisitely complements the highly legible, grey sunray-finish dial, and the sumptuously decorated Cal.324 movement is visible beneath the sapphire crystal display back, showcasing Patek’s famous finishing and decoration work. Although a dress watch, as an annual calendar its purpose is daily wear, as it only requires an adjustment at the end of each February. In a class of its own.
