With its famous racing case silhouette and striking dial, the Rolex Daytona is arguably the most iconic watch of all time, and 2016’s 116500LN is the most advanced chronograph the brand has ever produced. Originally expected to be launched in 2013 to coincide with the line’s 50th anniversary, collectors were desperate for an updated, pure steel Daytona, making this edition one of the hardest to get hold of. With its renowned 40mm case, in-house cal.4130 movement and trademark immaculate finishing and precision, this model is very much an evolution rather than a revolution, but the star of the watch is the Cerachrom bezel with platinum PVD treatment. Rolex’s patented ceramic is essentially scratchproof and immune to fading, meaning the watch should retain the same glossy appearance decades from now. The black dial is classic and traditional, and features silver contrasting rings for increased legibility. The Easylink extension system on the bracelet allows for quick 5mm adjustments, offering increased comfort in hot and humid conditions, or on long-haul flights. One of the best-wearing pieces ever made, with stunning presence on the wrist.

Unpolished and in very good overall condition, the watch comes complete with its box, Rolex Guarantee Card, leather guarantee card holder, booklets, bezel protector, both swing tags and two spare links, and remains under Rolex’s international warranty until September 2022.
