Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar

Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar

£72,500.00

Patek Philippe were the first to create a perpetual calendar wristwatch in 1925, and their latest iteration of the grandest of “grand complications,” the 5320G, was an instant hit with collectors, with roots in vintage Pateks from the 1940s and 50s, combined with the very best of modern engineering. Described by the brand as a “paragon of visual balance and legibility,” the impeccable dial layout displays the time, day, month, date, leap year, day/night indicator, and moon phases, all at a glance. The twin aperture at 12 o’clock is in keeping with the heritage of Patek perpetuals since 1941, whilst at 40mm the white gold case is modern-sized, and is in fact “monobloc” - stamped from one entire block of white gold, a revolutionary technique in case-making. The luminous syringe hands and blackened white gold arabic numerals blend the historical with the contemporary once again, and the star of the piece is the new salmon-coloured dial, a unique, soft colour achieved through rose gold coating and opaline processing. Visible through the sapphire display caseback is the cal.324SQ movement, finished to the standards of the Patek Seal. Requiring only a one-day correction every 122 years, the 5230G is smooth but powerful.
