This model’s 40.5mm case retains the hallmark styling of Patek Philippe, and the brushed bezel contrasts beautifully with the polished case sides and pushers. The textured black brass dial features horizontal grooves and a dark-to-light gradation that plays with light and shadow, changing aesthetic depending on angle. Patek have crafted a stunningly legible dial considering the watch’s complexity: two apertures at 12 o’clock show the day and the month, with the date at 6 o’clock. The small hand at 6 o’clock is the 24-hour indicator, and in the same subdial is the elegant, eye-catching moonphase complication.
