The spiritual successor to the iconic Nautilus, the Cubitus sent shockwaves through the watch world when, in late 2024, Patek Philippe released it as their first new collection in a quarter of a century. As the Nautilus hits its 50th anniversary, the Cubitus continues the design lineage of Gérald Genta, but stands out as unique for its ultramodern, square geometry. This model, the 5821/1A, is forged from stainless steel, and features a generously-sized 45mm case (measured diagonally from 10 to 4 o’clock), but retains the hallmark styling of Patek Philippe, the brushed bezel contrasting beautifully with the polished case sides and pushers. The dial is an elegant olive green colour enhanced by a sunburst finish, for an added sheen, and is horizontally embossed to play with light and shadow, changing aesthetics depending on angle. The date aperture is at 3 o’clock, completing a highly-legible and balanced watch face. The bracelet remains the same as on the Nautilus, with brushed and polished finishing, incredible stability and comfort on the wrist, and beautiful, fluid ergonomics. Powered by the in-house cal.26-330SC movement, with a 21k gold central rotor with horizontal motif, the Cubitus is a powerful instant classic.

In excellent condition, the watch comes complete with its lacquered wood box, manuals and Certificate of Origin, and remains under Patek Philippe’s international warranty until 2030.
