The legendary brand launched the world’s very first annual calendar in 1996, followed more recently by this reference, with a larger 40mm case forged entirely from luxurious, gleaming platinum, bringing modern proportions and grand materials to an iconic dress watch, as well as featuring Patek Philippe's very first in-house self-winding chronograph. The dial is a bright, sunburst blue with red and white accents for a sporty look and increased legibility, with three apertures set in the top half of the dial, in the arc of a circle to follow the case shape, indicating the date, month, and day of the week, whilst the single subdial features the chronograph, combining two of the most sought-after Patek complications on one eye-catching watch face. The fantastically decorative Cal.28-520 movement is visible beneath the sapphire crystal display back, showcasing Patek’s famous finishing and decoration work. Requiring correction just once a year, the 5960P is a stylish beast of a watch.
